We use it for the Torque Game Engine. I have tried the garage games site and no documentation on it. Thanks.

*************************************************
Rules:

1. Every week there will be a subject for you to model along with a time limit. You should spend no longer than the allocated time, then post a render of your model. As in most challenges like this, your honesty on modelling times is essential. How you interpret the brief is up to you as long as the final model conforms to what is asked for.
2. Post a render of your model (min 800x600 pixels) in this thread with a wireframe.
3. LightWave should be used for modelling. 3rd party Plug ins are allowed.
4. You can enter as many times as you like, posting each in this thread. If you run over the time, the model can still be posted but won't be subject to the judging.
5. Time spent on texturing, setting up a scene for a render and rendering is not included in the allocated period.

**Please mention whether or not you would be happy to share the model.**
ive been informed that the I7 has some kind of threading technology which makes it optimal for lws rendering etc, so im after some feedback and advice as to whether this is true, if theres anything better, and whether its worth trying to cram several I7's into one shell?
id love some feedback please.
I have been using Audio-technica omnidirectional ATR35s lav mics for a year and a half doing live streaming internet shows. They have always worked great until recently. With all audio settings at normal setting the level is peaking at -15 to -20. Before I would have to pull down the audio. Now I can barely hear it. batteries are good. Any ideas?

I feel like this is a really basic question but I'd appreciate some thoughts.

My goal is to have a simple emitter create particles that travel along a wind animation path, simple and easy enough. The particles themselves I want to be simple squares. So I've been using FXlinker, which works more or less but is really slow and becomes a pain when the particle count gets 'high' (say 2000 particles across a few emitters).

Is there a way to get particles to look like simple squares without having to replicate an object through FXlinker which just makes my scene filled with thousands of unique objects?

It's a mess to have them all show up as objects, I'd prefer them just to be 'particles' controlled only by the emitter.

2D(and sorta 3D) programs with emitters like Motion do this really well, anything similar in Lightwave?

Any thoughts?

cheers

Background:
We've been streaming sports for two years now. High School Football games usually take about 3 hours of streaming. Basketball games take about 4 hours because we stream both the boy's and girl's games, back-to-back. We use Time Warp when filming football, but we don't use TW when we do basketball. We always backup to tape, either way. This football season we started using Highwinds "ability" to archive our FLV stream at the same time we were streaming at 508Kbits. We have never had any viewer say that their stream was ever interrupted. It's worked flawlessly from a consumer's perspective.

Hardware:
Tricaster Pro with all current s/w versions and patches (that I'm aware of).
Backbone of school network is 24,000 kbits (Yes, it's a huge pipe)

Problem:
What is actually happening in the background is another story all together. Obviously we want to archive the FLV up to Highwinds at the same time we are streaming so that we don't have to capture from tape (AVI), render to FLV and then ftp back up to the CDN. This takes many hours to do. What is happening is that once the 3-4 hour stream is finished and we pack up and go home, when I login to check on the archived FLV files, I sometimes see 3-5 different archives of varying sizes. Never have I logged in to Highwinds and see a single FLV file per event streamed. When I check with Highwinds here is what I get from their support staff, who, let me preface by saying "are a great bunch of folks to work with." Last email from them to me:
--------
"The archiving system (Highwinds) works off of start and stops at the ingest server.
These events can be triggered either by an encoder stopping, or by a loss of connection from the encoder and the ingest server, most likely due to network problems in between. I see in the logs that multiple starts and stops occurred for those archiving sessions. Do you still have the encoder logs for those events?"
-------
Back to my problem:
So, after all that verbiage, in order to troubleshoot this problem, I need an encoder log from the TCP. Since the TCP is using the Adobe encoder, where do I find the log and what is the name of it? Any help would be appreciated.
