Vernicia Griffie

Vernicia Griffie was born in Texarkana, Texas, where she is a student at Texas High School. 

As well as being president of her school’s audio/video production club, TigerVision, she holds office in several other organizations, including National Honor Society and Interact Club.
She has been enrolled in the TigerVision program since her eighth grade year.

Since her sophomore year, she has been a weekly anchor on Texas High’s daily TigerVision broadcast, and has also been a part of the sports videography crew since her junior year, which involves being a sideline videographer at all of the varsity football games.

Vernicia’s work with video production and broadcast journalism include a national award in live reporting at the Student Television Network convention in 2013. For the future, she intends to pursue a career as a political analyst, anchoring for a national news broadcast.
