    I cannot render quicktime files anymore. (LW6-7)

If you have a scene that will no longer allow you to render Quicktime files or the one's being produced are just black then you will need to edit your scene file in a Text editor such as Notepad, Simpletext or Textedit depending which plattform you use.

Once you have opened the scene file there are two lines that need to be deleted. The lines will look like this:

SaveAnimationName C:\quicktest.mov
AnimationSaver QuickTime(.mov)

with the keywords being "SaveAnimationName" and "AnimationSaver" these listings are generally found in the lower third of your scene file. Again once you find the lines containing these two tags delete them. Then SAVE YOUR SCENE WITH A DIFFERENT NAME.

Now load in the re-named scene and setup your Output file settings in the Render Options panel again. You should notice that all the fields are cleared as though you had not tried outputting before.
